You can find surprising things when you sort through the fabric stash. I found all these tan, brown, gold and cream fabrics that really worked together. Then I decided to do a Chinese Coin quilt which is a pretty traditional pattern. I tweaked it a bit by splitting the coin and adding in the cocoa brown block in the middle of the coin. The back of the quilt is a dark brown and cream abstract design.
The quilting is an all over pattern that I like - interlocking boxes - in a shimmering gold thread. The batting is a medium loft to give the quilt some texture without being heavy. The double fold binding is machine sewn front and back for added duability. This item was proudly made here in the United States.
